Hi, I'm Meriel! I'm a PhD student at UMass Amherst working with Dr Mohammad Atari. I'm broadly interested in studying personality, politics, and moral values using text data. Before Amherst, I did a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, then an MA of Social Psychology at UNC Greensboro under Dr Paul Silvia. Before either of those, I spent most of my time sleeping and surfing and playing map-based strategy games, all of which I still greatly enjoy.
